I have mastered bathing my cats
I've managed to bathe both my cats without either of them scratching or biting.
Surprisingly, Ysera, stray cat of the streets, just kind of shrugged as the bathwater rose and she got soaked. She also refused a towel to dry off afterwards, choosing instead to sit on the floor.

Some A-10 porn for syntheticpathos
Since I talked to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) syntheticpathos about this and he was clearly unawares of how awesome the A-10 Thunderbolt II is, let's talk about it for a second.
In my opinion, the A-10 is one of the most successfully designed pieces of engineering in history. It is extremely rugged, relatively cheap to build, and absolutely excels in the area it was designed for. It is doubly or triply redundant in every aspect of its design, being able to lose roughly half of its capabilities (and hence, itself) and continue functioning. It is like the design ideals of the Rhino put into a real world application.
It's built around one of the most ridiculously powerful guns ever put on an airplane, a car-sized gatling gun capable of destroying just about any ground target in existence. In today's world, it has almost no legitimate use - it is such a devastatingly effective weapon that there is no reason to field a tank in a place that it might be targeted by an A-10.
However, due to the sturdiness, wide operating range and flight speeds that the A-10 is capable of, it is still an extremely effective airplane even in areas where insurgencies or unrest are rampant. It can take off and land in tiny airfields and just kind of hang out over convoys to protect them.

neotokyo, so close and yet so far
Honestly, this Neotokyo mod is really fucking well made, but it does not feel like cyberpunk anime action at all. It's just the same mechanics as counterstrike with a couple gimmicks. If you're going to open up with an awesome youtube video like that you'd better have more to back it up.
The sounds in the game are very muted, you can sometimes get shot (from point blank) and not even realize you're taking damage until you're dead.
The entire mod needs a polish - except the art design, which is very spot on. I'd like either more gimmicks for the "classes" or just straight up gimmick the shit out of everything. Robot assisted jumps and shit, make the flow of the maps more dynamic. Maybe some kind of static distortion when being hit, HUD style maps of the area and whatnot.
I just have no interest in replaying CS no matter how cool the art is.

[iPhone] Sooooo app suggestions?
I'm getting comfortable with using my iphone. Now, does anyone use any awesome apps that they'd like to recommend? The app store is a little intimidating and a little full of 10,000 MOB WARS UPDATE 1.563 NEW GUNS TO WEAR.
I got things like the livejournal app, the facebook app and whatnot. But what's kind of cool and kind of obscure that I may not have heard about?

Options that will be cheaper with better care than any current Health Care system:
All our parents could be great doctors that work on us for free.
PROS: I trust Dr. Mom and Dad to do a great job, they love me!
CONS: We all have to train to be doctors ourselves, so that our kids can get the same treatment.
Someone still has to buy the expensive machinery and perform research into new treatments. Possible solution: outsourcing?
Explaining to Dr. Mom how you got that anal herpes.
Invent some kind of robot doctors that don't need any payment beyond being plugged into a wall.
PROS: Robot doctors must obey the laws of robots, free care!
CONS: Need someone to invent the robots.
Cold hands.
Ask hybrid classes to spec Resto/Holy.
PROS: Increased healing throughput to the raid, AOE healing.
CONS: What if they leave the guild?

iTunes issue with deleted tracks
I had itunes installed a good while ago, and it had looked over my library etc. I have it reinstalled now, but my library is on a different hard drive.
So it now has all my previous library songs still in the library, but as sort of phantom tracks.
Now I can delete these individually out of the library, but I am wondering if there is any way to purge all missing files from the library at once. I don't see any "rebuild library" options or "purge lost files," and it's REALLY annoying to have every entry duplicated.

On doing infinite damage
It's obscenely difficult to pull off, and it's only not theoretical anymore because I actually did it once, but there is a way in Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2 to do an attack with the Master Gundam that does infinite damage to the target.

Help me blow my inheritance [phones]
So one of the first things I'm doing with my inheritance is getting a new cel phone. My current one doesn't get good signal, doesn't have GPS, and is a fucking WINDOWS MOBILE device.
Yeah, so done with that.
So I figure I have a couple options here:
- One of the new models of Blackberry Curves
- Most recently announced iPhone models
- Something else, preferably not a fucking Windows Mobile device
What kind of phone do you use, or hear good things about people you know using?
